Karangahape Road has always been a mecca for artists. It’s the spot you take your cool cousin from out of town, the place you stumble upon something wild and wonderful, and where you remember that this city’s still got soul.
Right now, we have a bunch of empty space and we want to use this as an opportunity for artists and makers to bring their ideas to life
We have many different types of opportunities:
- Static art installations in empty shops to be viewed from the street
- Beresford Square - a newly completed public space right beside the train station is screaming for public events.
- Venues along Karangahape Road that can host a multitude of events and pop ups.
We also have budget to make ideas happen.
This is an open invitation to help us reinvigorate the street. To bring back the artists, the energy, and the unexpected magic that makes Karangahape Road so special.
