Project 100 is a multidisciplinary creative hub and gallery space in the heart of Whakatū Nelson, launched last spring with the goal of providing an affordable and accessible platform for both emerging and established contemporary artists and makers.

Project 100 invites artists and makers to submit a proposal for hosting a project, exhibition, or workshop in our unique gallery space. We support artists across a broad range of art forms to share their contemporary, conceptual and innovative works. From small object makers, clay artists, textile workers, and jewellers to painters, art collectives, designers, photographers, furniture makers, writers, musicians, and performers—Project 100 welcomes conceptual creatives from all disciplines.

Alongside its self-funded monthly pop-up exhibition programme, Project 100 has expanded to offer several funded opportunities throughout the year for artists who meet their criteria. These opportunities are designed to bring fresh creative perspectives and innovation to the region and are ideal for artists looking to engage with the community as well as exhibit their work.

Applications for all exhibitions or projects taking place from November 2025 - November 2026 are currently open. We welcome both individuals and groups or collectives to apply.

Applications close 31 March.
