About Us

Q Theatre is more than a venue—we’re the beating heart of Auckland’s creative scene. Since opening our doors, we’ve been a stage for bold ideas, boundary-pushing performances, and unforgettable stories. We believe in the power of the arts to connect, challenge, and inspire, and we’re here to champion the incredible talent of Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond. Our spaces buzz with energy, hosting everything from ground-breaking theatre to dynamic dance and vibrant festivals.

At Q, we celebrate diversity, amplify underrepresented voices, and honour Te Ao Māori. We’re committed to making art accessible and creating a space where everyone feels they belong.

  • Deep, authentic connections with communities, artists, and funders.
  • A team culture that’s collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
  • Aotearoa’s cultural landscape and the values of our diverse communities are woven into every aspect of our work.

What You’ll Bring

  • Vision: You can see the big picture and chart a path to get there.

  • Passionate about creativity and fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture.
  • Connected to diverse communities and committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Why Q Theatre?

Joining Q means becoming part of a community that’s shaping Auckland’s cultural identity. We’re bold, ambitious, and unapologetically passionate about the arts. If you’re excited by the idea of leading an organisation that’s as dynamic as the city it calls home, we want to hear from you.
