CoCA Toi Moroki Centre of Contemporary Art is pleased to announce our annual Open Call for Proposals.
 

This Open Call is for an exhibition programme beginning March 2026 for our downstairs Ō Papa Gallery, Ōtautahi Christchurch.
 

Call for proposals 
CoCA invites proposals from individual artists, groups and art collectives from all disciplines including visual art, crafts and Ngā Toi for our 2026/2027 exhibition programme. Whether you’re working solo, in collaboration, or as part of a community-led initiative.

While we prioritise support for artists who are from or have a connection to Waitaha Canterbury, we are open to proposals from outside our area.

We also welcome proposals from community organisations who support artists facing barriers to exhibiting.
 

How to apply
To simplify the application process, proposals are accepted in different formats. Please see the Call for Proposals document for requirements. This information is also available on our website.
 

We are holding a proposal workshop on 18 August. (Details below). If you are unable to attend in person, or on zoom, and have questions, please email: proposals@coca.org.nz
