About Us

The Pan-Asian Screen Collective (PASC) supports emerging and experienced screen practitioners of Pan-Asian heritage in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Our goal is for New Zealand’s cultural landscape to honestly and equitably reflect Pan-Asian faces, creativity, expertise, experience and history on screen and behind the camera.

 

We advocate for fairness, representation and equity in funding, and support the development of career pathways in the screen industries. Our job is to work with New Zealand's screen sector to understand and value the diversity of experience and stories Pan-Asian New Zealanders contribute. 

 

Mission

PASC’s mission is to see more stories made by and about our Pan-Asian communities by supporting the careers of Pan-Asian practitioners.  

 

About the Role

  • Fixed-term, 6 month contract (with the intention to extend the role subject to ongoing funding)
  • Auckland-based3 days at 8 hrs per day (24 total hrs/wk)
  • $1350 per week (plus GST if applicable)
  • Reports to: PASC Board

 

About You

  • Develop and foster a community of members, and relationships with industry organisations;
  • Prepare quality reports for our funders and board, to a professional standard, on time;
  • Prepare funding applications with the support of the board to a professional standard, on time;
  • Lead the design and delivery of PASC’s programme of workshops, training and learning; with the support of contracted Events Coordinator(s).
  • Develop and deliver a communications and social media plan; alongside PASC’s Comms Manager.
  • Manage contractors, part-time staff, and members offering their time as volunteers.
  • Self-manage and determine how best to prioritise tasks, think and act strategically.
