What are we looking for?

 

We are looking for a General Manager to step into a pivotal role within our organisation for a period of 6-8 months as a Maternity Leave cover. Requiring a high degree of organisation, initiative, collaboration and vision and working closely in partnership with the Artistic Director, the General Manager is key to the delivery of Red Leap’s programme and business.

 

What you’ll do:

 

They will act as Producer for our premiere and touring performance productions, applying strategic planning in consideration of programming, fundraising, and audience development. They will be a present and active member of the production team, ensuring the voices of all members of the company are honoured. They will be responsible for general company marketing, and establishing project

based marketing plans.

 

The General Manager is responsible for the financial management of the organisation. Maintaining budgets, preparing and making payments, bookkeeping and reporting the financial performance to the

board of trustees. During this contract they will also support the accountant to prepare the

paperwork for the annual audit.

 

The General Manager will be responsible for revenue generation in terms of new

grant-making, in-kind and donor support. They will work closely with the Artistic Director and

Education Manager to plan and activate fundraising support for the programme.

 

What is required:

 

Experience in leadership and Project Management

Understanding and skill in funding application and management

Financial and budget management experience

Understanding of theatre operations

 

It would also be desirable to have somebody with skill in donor acquisition
