The Role

The Executive Producer is a leadership role, requiring a high degree of organisation, initiative, collaboration and vision. 

 

The Executive Producer is key to the delivery of Red Leap’s programme and business as part of a small and highly collaborative creative team. They will act as Producer for our premiere and touring performance productions, applying strategic planning in consideration of programming, fundraising, and audience development. They will be responsible for general company marketing, and establishing project based marketing plans.

You will be a collaborative and motivated leader, with a strong understanding of the arts landscape in Aotearoa. 

 

Essential skills

  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Commitment to the kaupapa of Red Leap - you’ll have an understanding of collaborative working processes
  • Commitment to inclusivity and mutual respect
  • Proven experience in producing: logistics and marketing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good financial, budget, and project management skills
  • Commitment to collaborative practice - working together and mutually supporting the rest of the Red Leap team
  • Experience engaging across diverse communities

 

Desirable skills

  • Experience with fundraising and grantmaking
  • You will have an interest in devised theatre, and a dedication to creating new work in Aotearoa

 

There is always the possibility of outsourcing aspects of this role, suited to your strengths. This role is to be finalised around your core skills - we are flexible concerning any aspects of the role where you might need additional support or training. This will be an ongoing conversation in your first six months with Red Leap.

 

The Offer

The Kaihautū Matua will be a 0.8FTE contract position for 52 weeks

The position is for 32 hours per week.

Remuneration: $40.86/hr for 32 hrs/week

$85,000 pro rata (actual $68,000)

Four weeks paid holiday included.
