Te tūranga | The role

Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington is seeking a Kairuruku Tāpui | Booking Coordinator who is organised and dependable to join our passionate team bringing remarkable education experiences to tamariki and rangatahi. This is a 40 hour per week role based in central Pōneke. 

 

Te āhua o te tūranga | The nature of the position

 

In this role, you will be part of our Nōku Te Ao Capital E team, administering education bookings and providing exceptional administrative support to our learning offerings.  

 

Serving as the primary contact for education booking enquires, you will address questions, requests and issues while building and maintaining strong industry relationships. You will engage proactively with teachers, schools, and early learning services, assess customer feedback, and respond accordingly, enhance visitation and revenue through sales calls, and collaborate with the Marketing team to implement marketing strategies. 

 

In this role it is vital to ensure customer information is current, as well as maintaining CRM system accuracy, in line with the booking policies. You will provide day to day administration support by effectively maintaining files and records and conducting bookkeeping tasks. In addition, you will support the delivery of learning programs for tamariki and rangatahi, ensuring seamless learning experiences with high satisfaction levels. You may also support our FOH team in the PlayHQ space, bringing free play experiences to under-5s and their whānau.

  • Excellent customer service orientation with a friendly and efficient telephone manner
  • Demonstrated inclusive behaviours when working with diverse ages, cultures, and backgrounds
  • Excellent relationship management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Exceptional booking skills with a high attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Effective time management skills
  • Energy, creativity, and resourcefulness 
  • An affinity with the Arts or not-for-profit sector 
  • Self-starter who can operate independently and collaboratively to manage assigned tasks
  • An affinity and or experience working with tamariki and rangatahi
  • Understanding of the educator sector and the needs of teachers, schools and centres
  • Adaptable and calm under pressure with the ability to respond appropriately to conflict or complaints.
  • Success in working collaboratively and flexibly within a team structure
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial, but not essential.
