The Kaiwhakahaere Mātauranga | Education Manager is responsible for the promotion, sales, delivery and evaluation of Red Leap’s Education Programme. The work involves  relationship-building across all aspects of the Education Programme. There are administrative, marketing, producing and advocacy aspects to the position.

The Role

This is a pivotal role, supporting the delivery of Red Leap’s vision, engagement and creative output.  As part of a small team you will contribute to shaping and delivering Red Leap’s strategy and programme to realise Red Leap’s mission. The role requires energy, initiative and a diversity of skills to organise, promote and facilitate events and community building initiatives. The Kaiwhakahaere Mātauranga | Education Manager  works closely with the Executive Producer and Artistic Director, as well as a wide range of contractors, stakeholders and suppliers. The role includes detailed administration, a high level of communications skills,  building partnerships with diverse communities, market development, and producing events and programmes. 

 

The Offer 

The Kaiwhakahaere Mātauranga | Education Manager will be a part-time contract position for 48 weeks from February 2024. The position is for 22.5 hours per week.

 

Employment: Contract position for 48 weeks 

Remuneration: $37.50/hr for 22.5hrs/week 

Two weeks paid holiday included.

 

 

Person Specification

 

You will be collaborative and motivated, with a good understanding of the arts and education landscape in Aotearoa. 

 

  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple programme components at once
  • Commitment to the kaupapa of Red Leap - you’ll have an understanding of collaborative working processes
  • Commitment to inclusivity and mutual respect
  • Good project management skills
  • Commitment to collaborative practice - working together and mutually supporting the rest of the Red Leap team
  • Experience engaging across diverse communities
