ABOUT THE COMPANY
Atamira Dance Company is a platform where Te Ao Māori and dance converge, where creativity brings mātauranga Māori, whakapapa, and stories to life.
Established in 2000, the company is now at the forefront of Māori contemporary dance in Aotearoa | New Zealand. With an outstanding reputation for artistic excellence, nurturing talent, and producing transformative experiences that resonate globally, the company offers a rich and diverse annual programme of performances, workshops, wānanga, classes, and community activities. Atamira regularly tours within Aotearoa and has also toured internationally to Australia, Noumea, USA, Hawaiʻi, Taiwan, Korea and China.
2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the company and the 2025 programme is led by the newly appointed Kaihautū Bianca Hyslop.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Kaiwhakahaere Rauemi | Operations Manager is the backbone behind the daily operations of Atamira Dance Collective Charitable Trust. You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day operational and financial tasks, while also supporting company management, compliance, funding, and administration. Along with the core leadership team, the Kaiwhakahaere Rauemi will create a vibrant and supportive environment for our artists, while also helping to strengthen community connections, secure funding opportunities, and build audiences.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring a strong combination of leadership, organisational skills and hands-on problem-solving, alongside a passion for supporting artists through effective administration. You are proactive, organised, and ready to take ownership of a diverse range of operational tasks.
You will have experience in the following areas: ▪ Business planning
▪ Financial management
▪ Office administration
▪ Governance and compliance
▪ People and Culture
▪ Marketing and communications
The role also requires:
▪ Excellent communication and time management skills
▪ An understanding of the arts funding environment and eco-system in Aotearoa
▪ A commitment to tikanga and mātauranga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and te reo
