The Royal New Zealand Ballet is a company of dynamic dancers from diverse backgrounds and presents a repertoire of classic and contemporary works across Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally.
We’re on the search for a full time Marketing and Communications Coordinator, based in our central Wellington office, reporting into the Head of Audiences. This is a fixed-term, 10-month contract.
Working across digital, social, and traditional marketing channels, this role will be responsible for delivering compelling content, coordinating collateral, and tracking performance to ensure the brand and productions reach the widest possible audience. This role will also involve relationship management, including liaising with sponsors, venue partners, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong storytelling abilities, and a deep appreciation for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Video Producer to create and schedule engaging content across social media, email and website platforms
- Managing the website on a day-to-day basis, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with marketing campaigns, in collaboration with RNZB’s web development agency
- Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, including content creation, asset coordination, and reporting
- Assisting with media relations, partnership management and stakeholder communications
- Monitoring audience engagement, including reporting social media and e-comms performance
- Working alongside the ticketing team to ensure the RNZB’s CRM system (Tessitura) is up to date and set up to support targeted marketing campaigns
About you
- 2+ years of experience in marketing and communications
- Exceptional writing and content creation skills
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Wordpress
- Proficiency in social media management, email marketing and basic design tools (Canva, adobe suit etc.)
- Highly organised, detail-orientated, and able to manage multiple projects
- A passion for the arts and an appreciation for dance
