About the Role

As a Music Tutor, you will work with a range of students from beginners to advanced musicians, delivering high-quality vocal and/or instrumental lessons in both individual and small-group settings. You’ll play a key role in fostering confidence, creativity, and excellence in our learners, while contributing to the wider artistic culture of Ignite Arts Academy.

What You’ll Do

Lead engaging, student-centred music lessons that build skills, confidence, and creativity

Champion positive student outcomes and support personalised learning pathways

Contribute to performance opportunities, showcases, and in-house events

Collaborate with a passionate team of arts educators

Participate in holiday programs such as Camp Rock and other creative initiatives

Support the development of Ignite’s growing music education programmes

You Are

A qualified, experienced vocal or music tutor (Diploma in Music Teaching or Music Degree preferred)

A confident, caring teacher with strong communication skills

Passionate about student growth, wellbeing, and artistic development

Creative, adaptable, and excited to be part of a supportive, high-performing team culture

Organised, reliable, and committed to ongoing professional excellence

Role Details

30 hours per week - Full time permanent

$36–$37 per hour (employee rate)

Based in beautiful Cambridge, New Zealand
