The annual New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards — NZPPA — has been running since 2000, and is a prestigious event on the New Zealand arts calendar.
NZPPA is presented by the Waikato Society of Arts, and held at Artspost galleries in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton. Alongside the exhibition will be workshops and artist talks, all free to the general public.
NZPPA2025 entries are now open and close on Monday 16 December 2024.
The Main prizes for Painting and Printmaking are $12,000 each, with two merit awards of $2,000 to be won. Finalists and non-finalists are notified by Tuesday 14 January 2025.
Event opening and award ceremony will be held on Friday 21 February 2025 at 6pm. This is a free event, open to the public.
