Are you interested in orchestral music and have exceptional leadership skills and experience in the performing arts?
We are looking for an experienced manager to take over the position of Orchestra Manager at Auckland Philharmonia, New Zealand’s professional city-based orchestra.
The Orchestra Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the orchestra in all Auckland Philharmonia events throughout the year.
The role works closely alongside the Director of Operations, the Director of Artistic Planning, Auckland Philharmonia Music Director, Auckland Philharmonia musicians and many Auckland Philharmonia staff members. This role is an integral part of running the orchestra to ensure there are musicians on stage each week.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong knowledge and experience in the running of an orchestra, be a strong communicator and have advanced administrator skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. You will also need to have the ability to work well both autonomously and within a team. The ability to remain level-headed under pressure and a passion for your work is essential.
