Te Ahurei Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Arts Festival is seeking an inspired and motivated Programme Coordinator to produce the Festival’s Creative Learning programme, and drive participation from schools and their tamariki and rangatahi.

As Programme Co-ordinator – Creative Learning, you’ll work closely with the Artistic Director, Head of Programming and Kaihautū Māori as part of the Programming team to develop and produce Festival performances for schools. You’ll work with selected artists to deliver the Creative Learning programme to education groups, teachers and students. Encompassing all levels of education, you’ll also coordinate the professional development programme to arts practitioners across the wider arts industry.

Along with a passion for innovatively connecting young people and the wider community with a vibrant and diverse programme of events, we’ll need you to be a skilled networker and salesperson, an excellent and friendly communicator, and have the ability to work and collaborate smartly while under pressure in a busy environment. Knowledge of contemporary performing arts (including Māori and Pasifika) and event management will be in your skillset. Experience in the New Zealand education sector, and an understanding of primary and secondary school curriculums along with kura kaupapa schools, is an advantage.

Based in our Auckland CBD office, the role is a full-time fixed-term position, commencing late September until late March 2026.
