NORTHART is Kaipatiki’s Community Art Gallery based in the heart of Northcote on Auckland’s North Shore with a history spanning over twenty-five years.
Our kaupapa is to present art experiences that engage with contemporary life, reflects the diversity of culture in New Zealand and encourages participation in the arts. We aim to showcase contemporary art practice from our local and national artist community.
Proposals for creative projects are now invited from individuals or groups of emerging, mid-career and established New Zealand artists, curators and creatives for 2025.
NORTHART’s gallery space looks different in 2025 and 2026. Due to the redevelopment of Northcote Town Centre, we will be based in a 26m2 ‘Satellite Gallery’ in Ernie Mays Street, Northcote from February 2025.
Exhibitions and art projects concepts that take place outside of this space within the Kaipātiki community are strongly encouraged.
