Te Tipu O Te Māhuri is a 12-week kaupapa Māori workplace training program in Art Gallery Curation, Administration and Events based at Toi Matarau Gallery.
Toi Matarau is a summit for multidisciplinary arts where Māori and Indigenous artists gather, collaborate, are inspired, and are supported. Thought has been given to enriching visitors' experiences of sharing in the mauri of taonga tuku iho.
Toi Matarau Gallery is located in the Māoriland Hub in the heart of Ōtaki village. It is the front face of Māoriland – presenter of the Māoriland Film Festival and home to Māoriland Films.

You need to be committed and self-motivated. You don’t need to have prior experience but you do need to show us your strong interest in trying new things creatively.
Te Tipu o Te Māhuri is a Māori Trades Training Program. You must be Māori to qualify for a placement.
