Filmmaking is all about storytelling and that's the fundamental idea behind The Shoot Out 24 Hour Filmmaking Festival. Grab a camera, get out there, have a go and tell a story. In 24 hours you must make a film no longer than 7 minutes in length with only in camera editing allowed and it must include 5 items selected by the organisers. It's that simple.

Registrations for this exciting event are NOW available from the website www.theshootout.co.nz or can be requested by calling The Shoot Out office on +64 7 838 3831.

Ben Steel (Home and Away) says of the Shoot Out phenomenon:

"The atmosphere is just electrifying. Filmmaking is all about having a great idea, committing to it, getting out there and getting it up on screen, and The Shoot Out is the best forum for that. I can't wait for it to kick off in Hamilton because it's going to be just amazing!"
