I was the Digital Artist in Residence with The Big Idea in 2015 with funding from Creative NZ. I am a documentary filmmaker and have worked in Australia and NZ on films profiling artists and writers and on political and social justice issues. I worked through the 2000s in creative and digital strategies and in the early establishment of the games industry in my role as Digital Sector Manager at New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and then as an independent researcher and strategist in the creative and digital media and games industry sectors. In 2007 I was Strategic Analyst at NZ On Air which led to a new digital strategy that saw the establishment of a major new online portal, NZ On Screen and blog, ScreenTalk. I was Content Director of NZ On Screen for the first 12 months and for the next six months produced ScreenTalk with cameraman/editor Leo Guerchmann. http://screentalk.nzonscreen.com. I trained as nurse in the eighties and have consistently worked in communty health areas linking media/resource development and documentary. I now work as a Palliative Care Educator at Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington, facilitating workshops on grief, loss, ethics and all things pertaining to end of life and continue to work on film and media projects.
I was appointed to the Film & Literature Review Board. (2011-2015)
I work on my own projects through The Doco Bug and also have worked on several projects in the past with producer, Glenis Giles.
