Tautai’s Fale-ship Residency Programme returns in 2021 to support 10 creatives to make and develop new work from home.
This is the first time Tautai Contemporary Pacific Arts Trust in Auckland has collaborated with a gallery in Australia for a shared exhibition.
A Tongan/Oglala Lakota photographer, musician, artist and screen playwright from Porcupine, South Dakota is the recipient of the Tautai Contemporary Pacific Arts Trust 2017 Artist Residency.
The title of this Tautai exhibition Sauniga translates to mean preparing for, or a gathering of sorts. Each artist uses portraiture to gather, define, and connect with Samoan knowledge systems.
