The Design and Arts College of New Zealand (D&A) second year Fine Arts students print exhibition ‘Landscape’ will showcase Drypoint work of 14 talented students on a variety of surfaces.
Students have taken inspiration through investigation of their environment; the landscape in which they inhabit. They were encouraged to develop an awareness of the space around them and represent this through the medium of print.
“Students were asked to identify appropriate places that interest them in some way and that can be representative of the environment that they occupy and have a relationship with. By interacting with a place that has developed a past, present or an emotive connection, students give their work a heightened value,” explains Amanda Hare, Fine Arts Tutor and Foundation Programme Coordinator at D&A.
“The exhibition brings together nine weeks of work, all in one stunning exhibition”.
Landscape will be on display at D&A’s Ground Floor Gallery at 116 Worcester Street, Christchurch. The Exhibition runs from Wednesday 5 April until Wednesday 5 May.
