She has worked both nationally and internationally. She was invited to an international marble symposium in Costa Rica in 2005 and Turkey in 2008. Anna Korver is one of nine New Zealand sculptors selected to participate in the Heartland Sculpture Challenge. Korver is an established New Zealand sculptor who has been working full time as an artist since graduating from the University of Canterbury, School of Fine Arts, completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture in 2003.

She has worked both nationally and internationally. She was invited to an international marble symposium in Costa Rica in 2005 and Turkey in 2008.Korver's work is situated in Pleasant Point and is created from Timaru Bluestone and steel. She is lucky enough to have a very supportive fiance who is also a sculptor and undertook much of the preliminary sculpting on this work before she returned from turkey.

This work was inspired by her work with the environment; Korver is also a trustee on the board on Eco Artists New Zealand which uses art to raise funds to support conservation projects. Whilst most of her work is figurative, this series moves away from the literal and expresses more the gesture of the form and the balance between people and their environments.

The competition will have two winners; a people's choice and a judge's choice. Images of the works will be updated on the Central South Island Tourism website, with details of how to vote.
