"I came home after the dawn service and thought about the old soldiers standing so proudly and realised that they are fading from the scene and should be remembered in song".
The dawn service on Anzac day, Waiheke Island, inspired 'Anzac Dawn' a haunting tribute to the old soldiers.

"I came home after the dawn service and thought about the old soldiers standing so proudly and realised that they are fading from the scene and should be remembered in song".

The resulting song 'Anzac Dawn', was recorded in Kingsland at Stu Pearce's studio and has been receiving radio play throughout NZ.

'We stood together in the Waiheke winds
we stood together in the dark Anzac Dawn and we
remembered the soldiers who once stood so proud
we remembered the soldiers who once fought and died

The bugle blowing and the people bowed their heads
and prayed for the soldiers and I prayed for my Dad
we remembered the soldiers who once stood so proud
we remembered the soldiers who once fought and died

Yes we remember
Lest we forget
Yes we remember
to pay our respects
