HOU is an innovative performance exploring genealogy, identity, culture and technology, discovering new boundaries in Maori contemporary dance.
Representing a new wave of young Maori choreographers, HOU features 3 exciting works-in-progress by Gaby Thomas, Nancy Wijohn and Pare Randall, alongside short works by established Atamira Choreographers Moss Patterson and Maaka Pepene.
Join Atamira for a symposium following the performance for a Q&A with the choreographers, and a panel discussion on the latest thinking in Maori creativity and contemporary Maori arts practice, led by Moana Nepia with invited guest speakers Dr Huhana Smith, Louise Potiki Bryant and others.
Wine and food will be served and all welcome.
