Commencing October 21st The Digital Darkroom will be presenting "Birds cats and dogs", an exhibition of giclee prints, by John Lyall.
In discussing the intent of the exhibition John tells us, "The world is now full of fake animals just at a time when the real animals are disappearing, becoming extinct or in fact just harder to find. What do I see when I look at these fake tigers? Is it a fading Graceland's or the embodiment of a Valiant car seat cover, or is it, beneath the kitsch, a sad truth? They will never move, this stare is the only stare that they can give and yet, in fading light or glimpsed out of the corner of the eye, they seem real."
