The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), Te Ara Pukenga, established in 1936, offers lifelong learning opportunities to the University of Auckland's regional, national and international communities and professional bodies. CCE has six programme areas and delivers courses, workshops and conferences to approximately 10,000 people each year.
The University has a distinctive role in community education in New Zealand and through its Centre for Continuing Education offers access to the University's knowledge and research and so contributes to the development of informed citizenship within our society and to the creation of an advanced and rapidly evolving knowledge economy. The Centre works in partnership with academics within the University and with practitioners and organisations to develop and deliver community education, conferences, professional development opportunities and international education. These activities facilitate access to higher level learning and research, promote internationalisation and encourage critical thinking.
The courses offered are designed to give you an inspiring, challenging and pleasurable learning experience. They will provide you with opportunities to develop your learning potential, to improve your career and life chances, to learn new skills and to share ideas with others.
We invite you to participate in the diverse learning opportunities included in this programme and look forward to welcoming you to the Centre for Continuing Education either as a returning student or a new lifelong learner!
