Originally from England, Gracie came to New Zealand as a young child and now identifies deeply with it as her home. Her designs draw inspiration from her long walks on the beach and estuary that surround her home in Southshore.

Her Aotearoa/Aroha pendant (pictured) for example conveys love of land, love of home, love of Aotearoa. The gentle sinuous lines of a feather, the foetal form of the koru, the watery indigo of the iolite all combine to bring a sense of calm balance to the piece.
