Multi-award winning documentary filmmaker Leanne Pooley will run a two day seminar on making documentaries for the NZ and International marketplaces.
From the initial idea to realising the film and distribution, the focus of this seminar will be the practical realities of documentary directing.
Leanne Pooley is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished documentary filmmakers. She has directed documentaries for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, as well as PBS and Discovery in America.
Her documentaries have screened in more than 100 countries, and include topics ranging from Rugby to the Pope.
Her last film Topp Twins-Untouchable Girls grossed nearly $2 million at the NZ box office making it the most successful documentary release in NZ history. It has gone on to win 18 International Awards including the coveted “People’s Choice Award for Documentary” at the Toronto International Film Festival.
