*** PROFESSOR AUGUST SARNITZ SPEAKS ON OPENING DAY OF 'ERNST PLISCHKE: ARCHITECT' ***
Professor of history and theory of architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, August Sarnitz is an internationally-acknowledged authority on Plischke's work. Last year Professor Sarnitz curated the exhibition in Vienna which celebrated the centenary of Plischke's birth.
City Gallery Wellington is pleased to announce that Professor Sarnitz will be our first speaker in the Ernst Plischke Keynote Lecture Series. Professor Sarnitz's talk, titled 'The New World and the New Vienna, 1929-1939', will look at Plischke's life and work in Vienna and New York before his immigration to New Zealand.
