Sumatran musicians, Irwansyah Harahap and Rithaony Hutajulu, who have been in Wellington on a three-month artist residency, will give a farewell concert of new compositions on Monday November 30, 6.30pm - Adam Concert Room, NZSM.

Sumatran musicians, Irwansyah Harahap and Rithaony Hutajulu, who have been in Wellington on a three-month artist residency, will give a farewell concert of new compositions on Monday November 30, 6.30pm - Adam Concert Room, NZSM.

The pair have been based at the NZ School of Music and will present new compositions by Irwan, including a new work for gamelan, as well as premieres of compositions by Jack Body, Philip Dadson and John Rae.

Special guests will include Dan Poynton (piano), Brian James (shakuhachi), and Sanjay Dixit (tabla).

Irwan and Ritha's residency has been with WARE (Wellington Asian Residency Exchange), a programme sponsored and organised by the Wellington City Council and Asia New Zealand Foundation in collaboration with the New Zealand School of Music.
