Filmmaker Brad McGann passes away
We are very sad to discover today that filmmaker Brad McGann has died after a battle with cancer. The film community is mourning his loss. McGann's film In My Father's Den won worldwide acclaim. New Zealand Film Commission chief executive Ruth Harley says "McGann was a wonderful filmmaker who will be missed by members of the industry".We are very sad to discover today that filmmaker Brad McGann has died after a battle with cancer. New Zealand Film Commission chief executive Ruth Harley says "McGann was a wonderful filmmaker who will be missed by members of the industry".In My Father's Den won nine awards at the New Zealand Screen Awards and recognition around the world, including an International Critics Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
McGann, who was 43, began his career in short films and achieved high success.
