Guest speakers include journalist and social commentator Rosemary McLeod, artist Andrea du Chatenier and writer/curator, Douglas Lloyd Jenkins.
The Textile & Costume Association Symposium is on from 12-13 June at TheNewDowse in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
Keynote presentations are by Dr Patricia Wallace, Associate Researcher, Macmillian Brown Centre for Pacific Studies, University of Canterburyon "Maori Weaving: ‘Hanging by a Thread?"; and Jane Wild & Hannah Barret, Textile Conservators, National Gallery of Australia on the restoration of the Ballet Russes collection.
