No, they're not disbanding - Happy Ending is the name of their new album, the follow-up to the band's gold-selling second album, Pegasus.

Listen out for the new single, "Bright Grey", from 20 August - a video by Eagle vs. Shark director Taika Waititi will follow soon after. The album was recorded and produced by Lee Prebble at The Surgery Studio in Newtown.

In 2006 the band signed a two-album record deal with New York indie label Young American Recordings, and have recently completed a 13-date US tour to support the American release of their first album, Horsepower.

Included in the tour was a performance at the US premiere of Eagle vs. Shark in New York. The Phoenix Foundation wrote the score for the film, as well as contributing a number of songs from both their previous albums and solo records.

The Phoenix Foundation will support the release of Happy Ending in New Zealand with a nationwide tour in November.
