UpstairsFeatured in 'Harmony' is the work of Southshore artist Deanna Gracie. Deanna finds her inspiration by immersing herself in the beauty and serenity of her local landscape on her daily walks in the estuary. Breathing in the ruggedness of the land and sea and the majesty of the resident birds and wildlife Deanna transforms these journeys and, perhaps more importantly, these atmospheres into her beautiful resonant pieces.

Using a combination of sterling silver, titanium and 18k gold, as in her brooch 'Rhythm and Flow", Deanna allows the eloquent language of her designs to transform metal into beautiful living artforms.

'Harmony' is on all through March at ConneXion Gallery, Upstairs Gallery 27 at the Arts Centre in Christchurch.
