When Dan and Al, two friends bored of their sleepy New Zealand town, decide to shake things up and take a job on the road, they inadvertently bite off more than they can chew. Their friend, Peggy, a mechanic, offers to fix up their van on the condition that she tags along. The boys accept and thus an irrevocable adventure begins. Before long, the van seems to have a life of its own, what with a Satnav with attitude, and all the weird and wonderful people they pick up en route.

But things soon turn sinister when a creepy couple, fixated on adopting children of a variety of ethnicities, set their eyes on Noodle. And when a drug-fuelled binge leads to an accidental manslaughter, things quickly unravel and fall apart. Add a fame-hungry bounty hunter family to the mix, a slew of hectic hitchhikers, sleepy-town do-gooders and an all female biker-gang, and things are going to get completely out of hand. Two dirty cops get a drug cartel boss, Riko, sent to prison so they can take better control of the deals going down in their city. The new boss however has other ideas and has a Chemical Engineer and his daughter kidnapped so that he can force him to manufacture a new drug.

Now the two cops have lost control and do not know where the gang is held up, they call in special ops expert AJ to find them. During the mission he discovers they are dirty, leading him to set up a sting operation and also rescue the kidnapped pair.

Meanwhile the drug boss Riko is released from prison and begins his fight to regain his drug empire.

Throughout the movie there are flashbacks to when AJ was in the military and finally to when he was a young boy. These flashbacks come to a climax when it is evident that AJ and Riko grew up and served in the military together.

An old man tells a BARMAN the story of two homeless guys, FRANK and BURKE.
Despite a warning filled with foreboding from an OLD LADY, TONIA, who is then knocked down by a truck in the street, Burke meets Dalton the following morning, together with HELEN, Dalton’s daughter, Burke is offered the job of general hand.

BURKE is driven to the cabin and meets BILL DE’ANGES and wife VALERY, trapped in a loveless marriage. Burke meets PEDRO GOMAZ and ERIC TUTTIKI.

Later that night, Burke overhears Dalton and Valery in the bathroom, clearly locked in passion. 
Early next morning Burke is awoken by Boris at gun point. Dalton enters the room. It is clear that Burke is to be the hunted. He is given a head start to make good an escape. With hands tied, Burke finds running hard. Pedro cuts the ties and releases him. A game of ‘hunter and the hunted’ ensues.
Bill and Valery argue again and she ends it with a gunshot to Bill’s chest. BURKE kills most of the remaining members of the party, including Helen.
One month later and Burke, intent on revenge hunts Dalton down and kills him. 
After visiting the graves of his dead wife GRACE, and child SAMMY, Burke hijacks a hunting expedition as the hunts’ continue. He kills several members of the party.
Back to the bar and the old man walks upstairs and enters the room of the bar owner, RICHARD who is organizing another ‘human stag’. The old man shoots him and is revealed as Burke.
