Songwriter Katy Soljak is to perform songs from her new Cd 'The Madonna of Godzone', out now on Gala Records'.

Soljak has returned from years in Los Angeles where she wrote and performed her bluesy/folk styles in cafes and art galleries. Her self published album was recorded in LA, Auckland and finally Waiheke Island where she now makes her home.

'Drawing on the personal and at times political, Soljak's songs are little stories of love and loss placed in rootsy folk/blues setting with plenty of acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, often evoking echoes of early indigo girls". NZMag '04
