New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde has won Best International Female Solo Artist at the 2014 Brit Awards.
The 17-year-old from Auckland's North Shore, Ella Yelich-O'Connor, beat Janelle Monae, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Pink to the award.
Lorde also performed at the ceremony at the O2 in London, with British electro group Disclosure (see the video below).
The Brit Award follows her double Grammy win in Los Angeles in January, when she won song of the year along with collaborator Joel Little for their hit song Royals, and best pop solo performance.
Lorde featured in a CNN International special documentary, filmed in Auckland recently, which will screen in more than 200 countries.
