Q Theatre has announced the appointment of Roger King as the Interim Programming Curator.

Roger has been contracted short term to work with General Manager Susanne Ritzenhoff and a Programming Advisory Group to programme Q Theatre’s first four months from September to December 2011.

Q Theatre is excited to welcome Roger on board as he has a wealth of programming knowledge and will provide great value to the start-up phase of the theatre.

Roger comes from a background in directing festivals, both art and music, throughout New Zealand, including founding and directing the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust from 1990 to 2009. He currently sits on the board of the Auckland Festival Trust. 

Those who have already expressed interest in hiring Q Theatre in 2011 will be hearing from Roger and Q Theatre over the next few weeks and Q Theatre looks forward to making the interim programme policy available publicly shortly.
