1977 was a watershed year in the history of rock'n'roll: the Sex Pistols recorded Never Mind The Bollocks, Hello Sailor released its self-titled debut album and The Commodores were on the front cover of the first ever edition of Rip It Up.

30 years on, and the New Zealand music magazine is celebrating its birthday with the biggest edition ever.
