The New Theatre Initiative is building a new theatre at 305 Queen Street - right in the heart of Auckland's performing arts district. It will be a fully flexible theatre for the professional performing arts and will seat between 350 - 460 people. This theatre will be a venue for hire - open to a huge variety of performing artists. It will be an awesome place where you can work, where you can play, or where you can just hang out in the bar. To find out more check out www.nti.org.nz

You are invited to an open industry meeting to be held on:
Thursday 29th June and repeated on Thursday 13th July
6pm at the Classic - 321 Queen Street

At the meeting Justin Lewis and Andrew Caisley, Co-Chairs of NTi, will put forward plans on:

  • The site and concept designs of the building
  • Who will own the new theatre and how it will be run

    Take this chance to find out what's happening and ask your questions.

    So far:

  • We have raised over half the money.
  • We have a confirmed site.
  • We have draft design plans.
  • We plan to open in 2008

    By the end of this year:

  • There will be a final set of design plans
  • The first Board will be appointed.
  • Now we'd like to find out what you think.
