The New Zealand Society of Artists in Glass Inc is holding its biennial conference in Auckland on 4 and 5 March 2006. This year's conference will examine 'The Object as an Eloquent Statement', what inspires object-makers across various mediums to create the works they do and how they express eloquence through their art.

Presenters include: Keynote Presenter: Robert Bell - Senior Curator of Decorative Arts at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. International Presenter: Yoshihiko Takahashi - glass blower from Japan. New Zealand presenters include John Edgar - Stone Sculptor, Brett Graham - Sculptor, Stephen Higgenson - Director, Milford House Dunedin, Elizabeth Thomson - Sculptor and Marea Timoko Glass Artist from Northland.
