This year's University Orchestra Concert will focus on the human voice, featuring the winner of the University Aria Competition as well as the distinguished New Zealand tenor, Patrick Power singing Benjamin Britten's profoundly beautiful Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.

On the choral side, the University Choir, under the direction of Rachael Griffiths-Hughes, will mark the Haydn bicentenary with the composer's elegant Theresien-Messe.

Throughout, the orchestra, under the dual batons of conductor James Tennant and his assistant Adam Maha, will play its magnificent share of what promises to be one of the most outstanding concerts of Hamilton's musical year.
