Wayne Jackson appointed to Q Theatre Board

Wayne Jackson has been appointed to the Q Theatre Board of Directors. Jackson is CEO of

Q Theatre Company Ltd, the operating company managing Q Theatre has announced the appointment of Wayne Jackson to the Board of Directors.

Q Theatre is Auckland’s new mid-sized professional performing arts venue in the heart of Auckland at 305 Queen Street. The venue includes a 350 – 450 seat flexi-form auditorium, a 120 seat studio space, a vibrant café and bar, rehearsal spaces and a function / theatre in education space. Q Theatre will offer a diverse programme of dance, theatre, music and cross-disciplinary work. Construction began in December 2009 and the doors to the theatre will open in the latter part of 2011.

Wayne Jackson is Chief Executive Officer of Grant Thornton New Zealand, one of the country’s leading accounting, tax and business advisory firms.

Mr Jackson has vast experience as a senior business leader with extensive international experience. Prior to his role at Grant Thornton Mr. Jackson fulfilled 19 years with Ernst & Young Auckland as a senior partner and director of EY's Business Advisory Practice. 

Mr Jackson is a graduate of Victoria University, and a keen supporter of the arts.

Other members of the Q board are Andrew Caisley - Chair, Justin Lewis – deputy chair, Craig Anderson, Janet Clarke, Elisabeth Vaneveld and Geoff Clews.
