Stage Two Productions are offering the chance for new and upcoming young playwrights to showcase their work in Stir Fried Plays - a festival of eight very different short 10 minute plays. From the dramatic to the dark, to the comic to the camp, there's something to please all taste buds.Producer James Wenley says "Stir Fried Plays is unique, allowing young writers to get their work out to an audience and keep creative control of their plays - seven of the eight writers are also directing their pieces. It's all about unashamedly showing off Stage 2's young talent - from these writers/directors to our many wonderful actors".

The show features short plays from up and coming playwrights Roderick D. Morgan (Ian the Antichrist), Ashley Milne (2007 Young Playwright Competition Winner), Claire Ahuriri (Flip the Script) and fresh new talent Ada Chin, Jonathan Riley, Sisi Ting Shao, Benjamin Teh and James Wenley.

Their eight 10 minute plays deal with a smorgasbord of different themes including relationships, television, reality, the afterlife and cows - often with a generous topping of comic sauce.

Meet Kieran, a man slowly dying in front of his TV - a TV that starts talking to him...
Or Gavin, who ends it all, finds himself in heaven, and HATES it...
We have Kitty, who has been locked away, but doesn't know why...
There's a writer whose fictional characters start answering back...
And two young kids who decide they want to make babies just like their parents...!
These characters and more are served up in the Stir Fried Plays.

A fast-paced show filled with twists, treats and laughs, this is one meal we guarantee you'll enjoy!
