Mentee, Page2Stage 2014
As the winner of “Page2Stage 2013" is packing bags to perform their work in UK, we are starting preparations for a bigger and better P2S 2014.
Are you a talented writer, poet, story-teller, spoken word artist? Are you dreaming of sharing some of your best work on stage.? Have you participated in an Open Mic night, or shown off your skills in a Poetry Slam? Have you gained the confidence to write and present your material to the audience? Page2Stage is an exciting programme for talented writers/spoken word artists, like you, that offers mentorship and prizes for developing and performing new material!
This year-long artist development programme will provide a platform to inspire, educate, and encourage writers and spoken word artists to write and perform a solo performance piece. Talented artists will be partnered with experienced writers and performers as mentors, and you'll be taught all the necessary tools to be able to create and present your own solo show and become a more professional arts practitioner.
You will participate in a series of fun spoken word events and workshops culminating in one final showcase/ prize-giving evening at the end of the series. For four chosen artists on the Page2Stage 2014 programme this will be a life-changing experience and possibly a start of a new career!
