Children's Art Project Tutor (Casual)

Job details

UXBRIDGE | Arts & Culture
16 Sep 2016
Work type
Casual employment
Work classification
Community & Access Arts, Visual Arts

We are keen to hear from any talented, energetic and experienced tutors who are enthused by art projects to join the UXBRIDGE team for a one off event on Saturday October 8th, as the UXBRIDGE Arts & Culture Centre, will hold the biggest arts event for children in East Auckland.

Kid’s Art Day is an afternoon dedicated to the youngsters and the young-at-heart. While the focus is on children aged 3–12yrs, this free event is for the whole family.

We have planned a truly unique project that we are wanting to bring an artist on board with, to plan and then help produce on the day with the children, whilst adding their own individual flavour to the piece.

This project will be an accurate representation of the Howick area, showcasing our iconic buildings and environment, on a large scale map to the dimensions of our hall floor.
Each child would be given an area of the map to work on, along with photos of that area, to then draw out in the correlating section.

We would like an artist who would be interested in taking part in an exciting project such as this, to help in the pre-planning stages of mapping out and drawing the foundation of the area and then to work with the children on the day in producing the finished piece.

This fun and unique art project will be a real feature of the event and a fantastic piece of artwork to be involved in.

Although this specific role is for a one off event, we would like to keep you on record and employed casually for any future kids events we may run.

If this sounds like you, apply today!
