The General Manager will report to the Board and work closely with the Artistic Director to manage and produce Atamira Dance Company’s artistic programme. The General Manager will provide a strong infrastructural foundation and operational leadership for the organisation, ensuring on-going financial stability creating an environment for the artistic ideas to flourish.
The General Manager is responsible for the financial, legal, marketing and promotional, sponsorship, staffing and administrative aspects of the staging of activities of Atamira Dance Company.
Atamira Dance Collective Charitable Trust is looking for a General Manager with operational and financial management experience, and knowledge of arts funding, philanthropy and fundraising in New Zealand. We are seeking someone with experience in staff management, leading high-performing teams and working collaboratively and creatively. Applicants must have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, and an appreciation of the creative process. We are seeking a General Manager who has an eye for detail, and can work well under pressure and within tight deadlines. A successful candidate will have a passion for the arts and Te Ao Maori.
This is a full time fixed-term 12 month position from 21 May 2018. It is a fixed term contract, with an opportunity to extend.
