We are seeking an Educator to support our Raranga Matihiko | Weaving Digital Futures syllabus.  Raranga Matihiko is part of the Ministry of Education’s Digital Equity for All Programme which delivers an innovative technologies curriculum to those with limited digital learning opportunities.

You will empower our learners through weaving Raranga Matihiko with Waikato Museum’s collections, exhibitions and resources by designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences, materials and products for aakonga. You will help us grow our learning communities and expand our reach and accessibility through learning with Maaori medium schools, Kura Kaupapa and Te Koohanga Reo. You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for leading the development and delivery of English and Maaori medium programmes integrating NZC, Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, Hangarau Matihiko and Digital Technologies curriculum content.

To be successful in this role you must be a passionate and talented trained teacher or kaiako who engages learning and technology to make a real difference to the communities you work with. You are a strong educator, confident in working with groups of aakonga of all ages, and you have particular experience in working with and teaching in a Maaori medium context. Fluency in te reo Maaori, confidence in tikanga Maaori and the ability to deliver in te reo would be an advantage.

This role is a full time, fixed term position through to the end of Term 4 2020, and the recruiting range for this role starts at $64,467.00 - 75,844.00 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
