Doc Edge Film Festival Internship x4

Community Building + Audience Data Analytics

As a not-for-profit organisation, we see our volunteers as the lifeforce of the Doc Edge Film Festival. In return for time and commitment, we are offering a fantastic opportunity to work for New Zealand’s Academy Award® qualifying, international documentary film festival.

You will get an opportunity to help build our first Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and give the Festival a new, more innovative way of interacting and communicating with our audiences.

You will learn how to craft email and communications campaigns and user journeys for film lovers across all areas of our work: Film Festival, Schools Festival, Industry and Good Pitch.

Gain experience in marketing automation tools and audience nurturing best practice through Salesforce, Pardot and Social Studio platforms. Learn data analytics for better audience and viewer engagement and film festival experience as we gear up for June 2021!

This is a volunteer internship for a maximum of three months. Ideally 3-4 days per week.

If you are keen to learn all aspects of working in a Film Festival and film-loving community and like working with a small team, we are looking for someone with:

  • A passion for Documentary film (you will be able to watch as many as you can squeeze in!)
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • A good understanding of databases and a willingness to gain leading CRM experience
  • An interest in data analytics and audience engagement across social media and web
  • Other skills and experience you can draw on, for example, design and community engagement
  • We would also welcome design and media skills (illustration, photography, motion, or animation).
