APO Communications Manager

We are looking for passionate, experienced communications professional with a love of the arts to join the team at Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO).
The Communications Manager plays an important role in showcasing the events, activities and people of the orchestra. This is a mid-level position within the APO Marketing team that is perfect for someone looking to make their next career move. With over 65 concerts and events each year the APO is a busy, vibrant and rewarding place to work.
APO is looking for someone who is a great team player who will thrive on the exciting challenges and opportunities that the Communications Manager role offers. The purpose of the role is to maximise opportunities to drive awareness of the APO and engagement with key audiences and stakeholders.
The successful candidate should be a great communicator with a proactive attitude and proven track record in media relations. Excellent content creation and relationship-building skills are essential and experience in the arts, events and/or non-profit sector is desirable.
